Grade-2X hard-wired alarm system complete and installed (with 4 detectors).
This system would be suitable for a domestic property where there were neighbours that agreed to check the house if the alarm activated. The alarm would signal an alarm condition by sounding an external siren and flashing a strobe light. The siren must automatically cut out after 15-minutes to comply with regulations.
The system can take up to eight detectors or devices and these can be selected to suit the application from a wide range available.
A lot of homes have pets living in them and we can fit detectors that will allow a pet (up to Labrador size) to have free movement around the home if that is what is required. If the pet is larger than a Labrador we can still design a system to suit that will fit around the requirements of the pet.
We will discuss your requirements and make suggestions to ensure the system we fit will give adequate protection to your family home. We will not try to up sell a superior system unless we think this basic one is unsuitable.
Annual maintenance is optional and if required charges are in addition to the installation price.

The Optex RX-40PT is a wide angle pet immune passive infrared detector with a range of 40'x40' or 12mtrs x 12mtrs. It is designed to be effective where there are smaller pets like: Mice, Rats, a Cat, or a small Dog up to 16" high. The detector is designed to be located in a room with a normal room temperature rather than in a very cold garage for example. The model RX-40QZ is also available and comes without the pet immunity feature. These detectors are very reliable and to date we have not had a single one go faulty (I shouldn't really tempt fate).
The Optex MX-40PT is a wide angle pet immune dualtech (passive infrared and microwave) detector with a range of 40'x40' or 12mtrs x 12mtrs. It is designed to be effective where there are smaller pets or even unwelcome wildlife like Mice or Rats for example in a domestic garage. The detector will cope with a cat, or a small dog up to 16" high but the detector in that case would need to be located in a room with a normal room temperature rather than in a very cold garage for example. The model MZ-40QZ is also available and comes without the pet immunity feature. Another model in the range is the MX-50QZ (no pet immunity) but with a range of 50'x50' or 15mtrs x 15mtrs. These detectors are very reliable and to date we have not had a single one go faulty (hope I have not just tempted fate).
A speaker is usually fitted so the user of the alarm can hear the entry and exit tones throughout the entry exit route and from immediately outside the final door. This reminds them to unset their alarm, and also confirms the system has successfully set. Speakers can also activate when the external siren operates to give those inside the building notification that their alarm has activated. Internal sounders are also available (sound bombs), they make a noise internally when the alarm activates. They are different from the speaker because they make no sound during the setting and unsetting routine. Internal sounders with strobe lights built in are also available.
This is a small box shaped device, with two red buttons on one end. If you want to set off your alarm (even when it is unset) simply press the two red buttons in together (using two fingers simultaneously). Some alarms are programmed to have a silent PA button which means there is no sound whatsoever at the site if the button is pressed. Other sites have the sounders activate immediately the button is pressed, and some have a delay before the sounders activate. Each site is different depending on the needs of those that might have to press the button to summon help.
If you have a look at the picture you will notice a small red-filled hole in the top. This is usually green/yellow and it turns to red once the button has been pressed. After the panic button has been pressed the alarm panel cannot be set until the panic attack button has been reset. To reset it a small key is used (see the keyhole in the device on the picture).
Response to a panic attack button being pressed can: ring the siren outside, call the keyholders, or call the Police. All this even when the system is not set. Similar devices can be used to summon medical help for elderly, ill or disabled.
